The Spring/Summer 2014 collection by Band of Outsiders is designed with a mind to the aesthetic of the touring musician. Designer Scott Sternberg used Mick Jagger as inspiration for this unique offering of tailored mens goods. The hooded anorak and poncho are inspired by Wall Street occupiers, while the shibori-dyed evening jacket and shorts look like an upscale version of the tie-dye clothes ’60s radicals used to wear. As expected, the collection features the kind of thoughtful cuts and prints that have made Band of Outsiders such a favorite among the in-the-know. The collection was presented at the iconic Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, modeled by Devendra Banhart and live streamed to viewers.
