Finally giving credence to months of rumors, NBC Universal has announced that starting April 22nd, 2013, the G4 television channel will officially be re-branded as ‘The Esquire Network’. Yes, that’s right, Esquire Magazine. Pitched as an ‘upscale Bravo for men’, the Esquire Network aims to fill a need for a more refined, style-oriented product in a market heavily populated by Maxim-esque content geared towards more frat-house sensibilities.
As longtime readers of Esquire Magazine, we’re excited to see what this channel will mean in terms of bringing high-end style and culture to a large T.V. audience. For those fans of the current G4, worry not; the network will still feature content on games and gadgets, but with a broadened spectrum that includes fashion, culture, travel and the like. Check out the launch video below for more information about the Esquire Network.
