Designer Kyle Ng – a Berkeley, CA native – has been hard at work for the last couple of years as he breaks into the menswear biz. After launching Farm Tactics – a San Francisco-based utilitarian brand that has been featured in shops such as Unionmade, Context, and Craft L.A – Ng is ready to make the jump to the next level. By opening up his own online shop.
AXS Folk Technology has made a name for itself by appealing to both hippie-types and nerds of the tech kind. It’s been heavily influenced by the “Whole Earth vibe of the Bay Area in the 1960s” and iconic outdoor wear from brands like The North Face, Patagonia and REI Co-op while embracing modern materials and construction. This unique look has been described as a “modern take on the tradition of artisanal craft is what we call Folk Technology.”
Inside the brand’s online shop you’ll discover a wide range of clothing and accessories that would be perfect for the great outdoors or just weaving your way through the city looking for the latest gadget. Everything from water resistant parkas, wool button-ups, feather down shirts and corduroy pants are up for grabs.
