Video: Jaguar Reveals New “Virtual Windscreen” Technology

Though their brand is often rooted in heritage, Jaguar isn’t afraid to push the envelope of technical automotive elements. A sort of ‘augmented reality’ display, the new tech project valuable information right onto the windshield of the car for the drivers benefit. In addition to the usual speed and tachometer data, the program also features handy elements like the optimal racing line to take and when to brake when entering a turn at high speed for maximum efficiency. Best of all? The concept also features a ‘ghost car’ function that allows you to ‘race’ against your last performance. Though still a concept, it’s nice to know that brands like Jaguar are looking into the future in new and exciting ways.
