Taking place in Los Angeles over the last few days, the E3 Electronics Expo is a veritable Mecca for the tech-inclined. One of the biggest aspects of the conference is the preview of some of the most highly anticipated video games, including some of the first major titles created exclusively for the PS4. Here’s an assembled list of 5 of the most anticipated game trailers of the show.
1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
One of the most iconic video game franchises of all time, Kojima Productions continues the Metal Gear Solid saga with edition “V: The Phantom Pain”. Created from Big Boss’ perspective, the game also features appearances from Liquid Snake, Skullface, and Ocelot. Though no formal release date has been set, expect it to launch before the holiday 2014 season.
2.Rainbow Six: Siege
Rainbow Six: Siege focuses on a new chapter in the Rainbow counter-terrorism unit, and Siege gives players a chance to work through high-stakes hostage situations using team strategy, breach and stronghold tactics and close-quarters fighting to extract their targets. Rainbow Six: Siege is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2015.
3.Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Sledgehammer Games and Activision reveal the first look at the gameplay for the latest Call of Duty installment, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Featuring the “Induction” campaign level, the trailer follows a group of US Marines as they drop into the battle lines of Seoul, South Korea and features insane elements like jetpacks, battle exoskeletons and some wild artillery. Featuring Kevin Spacey as a military commander, the game is due out November 4.
4.Assassin’s Creed: Unity
Ubisoft unveiled a new cinematic trailer for the game along with a look at both single-player and co-op gameplay for one of their premiere franchises. Unity is set in 18th century France and tells the story of Arno Dorian and the Brotherhood of Assassins as they struggle to uncover the forces behind the French Revolution. Assassin’s Creed: Unity is due out October 28 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
5.Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Retired treasure hunter Nathan Drake is back after a few years in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Chasing down the threads of a global conspiriacy surrounding some hidden treasure, this is the first next-gen debut for the franchise. Uncharted 4 is currently set to hit PlayStation 4 sometime in 2015.
