At this point in time, do you actually think Ralph Lauren cares what consumers say about his uber-successful brand Polo? We’d say probably not so much. But, if he wants to make up for charging $595 for those Olympic sweaters that tittered on the edge of being considered an ugly-Christmas sweater, he could start with some nostalgia.
Polo Ralph Lauren recently unveiled its collection of fleece sweaters for spring 2014 which recall the famous Snow Beach jacket from the ‘90s. There are four pieces in all and each feature incredible color-blocking details. Not only will these sweaters keep you comfortable until the weather requires you to put them away until cooler patterns return, you’re going to get a lot of compliments on how amazing they look.
Keep on reading to find out more details on these essential spring fleeces.
Mock Weathered Fleece Half-Zip 165
This patriotic half-zip sweatshirt was inspired by rugged mountain climbing gear and is constructed out of comfortable weathered cotton fleece. Other features include a ripstop yoke, an American flag patch and Zip welt pockets at the left sleeve and on each hip.
Weathered Full-Zip Fleece
This is a bold, rugged full-zip jacket that has been crafted from heavily washed cotton fleece. Features include a stowaway drawcord stowaway hood, long sleeves with contrasting ribbed cuffs, a zip welt pocket on the left chest and a split kangaroo pocket with a snapped closure at each side.
Color-Blocked Fleece Vest
This is a refreshing color-blocked vest made from washed cotton fleece. Features include a durable nylon front and back yokes, along with a stand collar and full-zip front.
Southwestern Fleece Hoodie
This warm and vibrant hoodie was crafted from ultra-soft washed cotton terry. Its features include a colorful Southwestern-inspired pattern, drawstring hood, long sleeves with ribbed cuffs and kangaroo pocket.
All four items are currently available on the Ralph Lauren website, and we suggest you pick them up ASAP. If you know anything about nostalgic products like these sweaters, they sell out fast. And, when things sell out in a rapid furry, they go for a lot more than the retail value on eBay.
