Before launching Ledbury, Paul Trible and Paul Watson were two Virginia natives attending business school in the UK. Unfortunately, the timing couldn’t have been worse. As the two men were taking classes at Oxford in 2008, the economy tanked. Instead of giving up because of lost job prospects, the duo took the opportunity to establish their own clothing brand in 2009.
Based out of Richmond, VA, the men behind Ledbury use their experiences from apprenticing with one of London’s premier tailors to create a line of shirts that are hardly seen today. As opposed to the one size fits all motto that many brands utilize, Lebury focuses on shirts that give off a more tailored look, no matter your shape or size. The brand is able to achieve this flattering fit by using less fabric at the waist and torso. Ledbury is also known for their innovations, like the lowered second button. This creates the perfect V at the neckline and prevents the shirt from being buttoned too high or too low. And, the brand prides itself for using only the finest Italian-woven cotton.
If that wasn’t enough to convince you to invest in a Ledbury shirt, then perhaps the brand’s recent launch for their fall/winter collection will do the job.
Instead of releasing every piece in one initial launch, Ledbury has opted to release a new limited-edition shirt from the collection everyday this October. By the end of the month, there will be 31 new shirts to chose from, unless they’ve already sold out. As of now, which is around the halfway point, Ledbury has released classic plaid flannels, brushed cotton oxfords and even a jersey button-down. Thus far, this is an inspiring collection that will keep your wardrobe fresh throughout the cooler months of the year.
Make sure that you head over to Ledbury’s official online shop to grab one of these stylish winter shirts before they’re gone for good. While over there, also check out some of the other goodies that the brand has available, such as belts, ties, sweaters and blazers. Word is that the brand is working on a line of pants. But until then, here’s a glimpse at the Fall/Winter Collection 2013.
