A icon in it’s own right, the Ford Mustang is set to see it’s 6th generation design released for the 2015 model year. A fairly substantial re-imagination of the car, designers discussed taking inspiration from the car’s first model edition, a panther, Steve McQueen and a fist breaking glass. Definitely sleeker and more athletic than the previous model, this design will definitely rankle fans of the classics. The car’s interior is predictably loaded with features and more luxurious appointments than last years plastic-fest. Features like driver-adjustable stability control, steering toggles, throttle and transmission systems, launch control, blind-spot monitors, cross-traffic alert are all available, depending on model.
When it comes to the cars guts, buyers have three engines to select from: a 3.7-liter V6 with a projected 300 horsepower, a 5.0-liter V8 with projected 420 horsepower, and a new 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that packs around 305 horsepower. Also worth noting is that the 2015 Mustang is the first time an independent rear suspension has been used int he car, which is expected to improve handling.
