A few weeks ago we posted on the pair of Stacy Adams ‘Armstrong‘ brogues we received, and now that we’ve had some time to put them through their paces here’s our take.
The Stacy Adams brand was founded in Massachusetts in 1875 and this long history of making high-quality footwear is definitely apparent the second you slip a pair on. Our Armstrong brogues are far and away some of the most comfortable shoes we own, in no small part thanks to the use of a more modern EVA sole that saves weight while providing all day comfort.
It’s this combination of classic brogue styling with modern materials and methods that have kept Stacy Adams so relevant over the years. We can’t begin to sing the praises of these shoes when it came to entire days spent on our feet at conferences (plus all the compliments the shoes got don’t hurt either).
In terms of styling them, the Armstrong brogue is great because it can skew both towards more formal attire or casual, depending on your mood.
We preferred pairing it with a more causal outfit for a nice pop of detail. The cuffed khaki pants allow the shoe to stand out and anchor the outfit, while the navy cardigan ties in with the tonal navy of the Armstrong.
Overall, we think it’s a great casual outfit for a sunny fall day, and trust us when we say these shoes are as comfortable as your most beat-up pair of go-to kicks.
Because we loved our Stacy Adams shoes so much, we’ve teamed up with them on a giveaway, with one of our lucky readers receiving a pair of Stacy Adams shoes of their choosing.
The rules are simple, all you have to do is check out Stacy Adams online shop and comment on this post mentioning your favorite shoe and how you’d style it if you won a pair.
For us, it would have to be the Midland boot in black leather paired with some selvedge jeans.

Ashby brown with green chinos
I would get the cognac Armstrong, get a bright sock for some flash, then wear some wool navy pants, crisp white shirt and a skinny tie
I like the Ashby shoes in brown leather. I think they call for some green cords and a white button-down.
I’d definitely go for the Armstrong in Navy with some black jeans and a blue jean jacket and a grey shirt. Thanks for the opportunity, cheers.
The brown Keyton moc toe slip-ons. Paired with simple colour grey slacks and a tailored button up by day, and dark selvedge blue jeans + a matching brown belt by night, stunner baby.
For my husband- The Atticus http://www.stacyadams.com/shop/style/24840-001.html
The idea of him wearing those, with a black kilt or slacks, a cable knit sweater in grey and black socks? Yum.

The Dawson in tan would be the awesome go to for me here in Alaska for everything from my casual khakisto my dressy navy slacks
I love those black Dawson’s…very cool! Pairing those with a nice pair of jeans and blazer for a night out would be perfect.
I like the Dalton shoes for my fiance.
